Trista Pullaro

Veterinary Assistant

Trista joined the Housecall team in May of 2019, but previously worked for James River Animal Hospital from 2007 to 2014. She has a B.S. in Psychology from Old Dominion University and an A.S. in Education from Piedmont Virginia Community College. She has had a passion for animals since childhood which led her to the veterinary field for a career path. Trista’s professional interests include animal behavior, pet nutrition, and integrative medicine.

Outside of work, she enjoys the beach, hiking local trails with her dogs, and spending time with her family and friends. Trista adores her 5 dogs and 2 cats, as well as her various foster dogs through Ring Dog Rescue.

Taylor Kidd

Veterinary Assistant

Taylor started working at James River Animal Hospital in July of 2014. Having come to our practice with previous animal experience, Taylor brings compassionate care and a gentle confidence to every animal she encounters. Taylor has a passion for local shelters and rescue groups and she has benefited many by her participation in their volunteer work, the fostering of their dogs and cats, and by making donations to their causes. Taylor has adopted both special needs and foster animals including her two felines - Levi Stubbs and PrimRose - and her senior Pomeranian, Agatha. Her other two dogs, Finnick and Gabe, have aided in her rescue work by socializing foster dogs and demonstrating to them the desirable behaviors for their new surroundings and around other pets.

Taylor dreams of becoming a licensed Veterinary Technician and plans on pursuing her certification in this program in the near future.
